Sound Scheduler is a simple software system that allows a supermarket (or retail store) to record, schedule and play announcements through their existing Public Announcement system.

What is Sound Scheduler ?
Sound Scheduler is a low-cost solution to recording, scheduling and broadcasting personalised in-store announcements. It allows stores to promote their products and schedule announcements at any time and on any day of the year.

The Sound Scheduler software records messages on a Personal Computer (PC) and schedules them to play at selected times. The PC sits between the Public Announcement (PA) system and any music system such as a CD stacker, cassette deck or radio. PA system announcements still work in the normal way and take priority over any scheduled messages. The background music is faded out before a scheduled announcement is broadcasted in the store.

Sound Scheduler gives the store the opportunity to record and play unique personalised messages throughout the day using their existing in-store audio system. Sound Scheduler can be used to broadcast store services, opening hours, community announcements, “red hot specials” and promote particular products bringing a personal touch to the store. Messages can be set up at the beginning of the week before the store opens eliminating the need to actively manage the weekly announcements. Staff can schedule when messages are played and with what frequency such as every minute, 30 minutes, daily, weekly or just once. The system will schedule and play any sound file that has been recorded in wave, mp3 or Windows Media Audio (WMA) format.

The Sound Scheduler package costs AUD$400 (+GST) per store which includes software, microphone. two RCA audio cables and full documentation (User Guide containing installation & operation instructions plus on-line Help screens).
