What's new with Sound Scheduler ?

Version 1.13

Released 31st March 2011.

Added option to restore volume/sound options to saved setting whenever Sound Scheduler starts. This resolves issue of remote IT Support inadvertently changing the sound settings via Remote Desktop or TeamViewer or VNC.

Version 1.12

Released 8th June 2009.

Fixed problem with US date support

Version 1.11

Released 16th August 2008.

Having sold several copies over the last few weeks and installing it at a few stores we decided it needed a small re-vamp.  The system hadn't changed very much since V1.0 and the User Interface was looking a little too clunky.

The interface has been changed to make it easier to use (especially for first time users).
A new Play button has been added to the main screen.
There have also been some minor bug fixes.

The manual has also been updated to reflect the screens in V1.11 and the new features that have been added since V1.07.  The updated manual will be included in the installation as a PDF document as several stores no longer use Microsoft Word.

Version 1.10

Released January 2006.
Minor bug fixes.

Version 1.09

Released March 2005.
The new features included:
  • Suspend Sound Scheduler at night between specified times.
  • Master / Slave option allowing messages to be scheduled from a remote location.

Version 1.08

Released in March 2003. This is the latest version of Sound Scheduler (as at December 2004).
The new features are:
  • Easy installation and setup.
  • Easier routines for support staff.
  • Ability to link into a central head office system allowing control of which announcements are to play in each store.

Version 1.07

This is the seventh release of Sound Scheduler.

Main features allow:
  • Auto Schedule Messages. Found under the Utilities menu.
  • New Pre/Post-Announcement options in the Utilities/Configure Sound Schedule option. See the pre-announcement page.
  • Ability to Save existing sound settings and later restore to these saved settings. See the Utilities/Configure Sound Schedule option (Volume Controls page).
  • Ability to link into a group messaging system which allows messages for a group of stores to be set up at a Head Office somewhere and sent down to each store by the Internet. (Nothing visible to see here, it's all in the code but now possible with this version).
  • Various bug fixes.
Features such as the Daily Schedule Report, Daily Conflicts Report and Auto Schedule Messages are not available for use in the FREE Sound Scheduler Lite application. These options as well as the ability to add more than 4 messages are available once the Sound Scheduler Lite application is upgraded to the full version.
